What are FOB coffee terms?
FOB stands for Free On Board. Under FOB terms, the seller in this case Olbino working with our family's farm in Ethiopia is responsible for the coffee up to the point it is loaded onto the vessel at the port of export. From that point, the buyer assumes responsibility for freight, insurance, and import clearance. Every shipment from Olbino includes a phytosanitary certificate, ICO certificate of origin, packing lists, and full lot and processing records. What is the difference between washed and natural processed coffee?
Processing method determines how the coffee cherry is handled after harvest and has a significant impact on the final cup. Washed coffee has the fruit removed before drying, producing a clean, bright cup that highlights the origin character of the bean in the case of Godere washed coffee, expect cocoa, floral aromatics, dried fruit notes, and a balanced finish. Natural processed coffee is dried with the fruit intact, which imparts more sweetness, body, and fruit forward complexity. Our specialty natural program is currently in development, with lots expected in upcoming harvests.
What is the minimum order quantity?
We offer flexible lot sizes to accommodate roasters at different scales. Contact us directly to discuss your volume requirements and we will work with you to find a suitable arrangement.
Are samples available before I place an order?
